While exploring the world there is one location that immediately makes you feel alive and present. The Himalayas are a natural phenomenon, as the rooftop of the world they combine majestic views with the kind buddhist inspired Nepalese culture. With this trekking we are combining the personal development program of Unleashing of Potential with the adventure that hiking entails. A retreat is a moment to break with regular routines and see life with perspective. Our workshops will guide the group dynamic & personal discovery process.
Make a dream journey come true
Our 10 day retreat will start in Kathmandu and then we will drive to Syabru Besi, the departure point for our 8-day trekking in the Langtang area. This hike is suited for both beginning hikers who enjoy walking as well as more experienced hikers, throughout our information session we will share details on how to prepare.
The Langtang trekking will start at 1462m, with beautiful river views and potentially red pandas, monkeys and bears along the way. Already on the 2nd hiking day we can start seeing the Langtang Lirung peak lying at 7246 meter. Our day will end at Langtang village (3490m) where we will get an inspiring insight how the locals recovered after the Nepal earthquake. A lighter day will follow which will end us at the small monastery of Kyagjin Gompa. Our next day has spectacular views on multiple peaks and will end at the foot of the glacier, ending us at the unique height of 4984m. An early sunrise wake up follows that will allow the most spectacular view of the trekking. On our hike back we will pass by local villages to soak in the culture and customs.
Every retreat is designed in a way that creates space for personal development insights. Our program will make use of four dimensions: Mental, Emotional, Spiritual and Physical. Identifying where you currently stand within each dimension and how it impacts who you are as a person. Throughout the journey you learn different insights, tools and skills that focus on being alive and present. A more detailed workshop overview will be given when you register as "interested" or "book now".
Our exploration of personal development insights and tools around the world shows that this state of being has a profound impact on life. It allows each one of us to detach from worries from the past and stress about future plans. Presence and aliveness are the basis of working on our inner potential.
Meals & Lodging
All meals during the trekking are provided, local teahouses offer a great selection of Nepalese foods. A tea or coffee is included with the meal. And our guide will bring some additional fruit along the way.
Our lodging during the trekking will always be in clean tea-houses and twin-share rooms with beds with comfortable foam mattress and pillows included. Typically the bathroom and toilet are shared, hot showers in some of the locations will require a small extra cost. Every location is chosen with care and experience of our guide. In the city of Kathmandu there will also be lodging foreseen on the night of arrival and the night before departure.
People seeking to extend their stay can inform us. We are happy to share tips & connections.
Joris Van Doorslaer

Joris & Sanne will guide the reflective workshops that will guide the group in their personal discovery process. A trekking becomes even more unique when guided with insights.
In April 2019 we hiked the Langtang trail and every participant made it to the 5000m summit. An incredible journey. This will give you an impression of some of the spectacular sceneries you will see along the way. As of day 1 you see the snow covered mountains in the distance. While walking through the valley you will see one scenery after another.

A year ago I could feel I was slowly loosing myself, despite it looked like I had everything under control. It was hard to put my thoughts in order. I could feel I was becoming less pleasant towards others.
Once we started talking about joining Nepal, I decided to add individual coaching sessions. Step by step everything became clearer. With Nepal as the absolute highlight. The physical challenge of a mountain of 5000m. A trekking towards myself. I refound myself. I felt the power of nature. Now, I trust myself again, dare to listen to my intuition and realize everything does not need to be perfect.

I signed up because I wanted personal development and an adventure. It is amazing to reflect on the entire experience. One of my highlights was hiking up for sunset. Watching the colors on the snowcapped mountains with a light wind. I felt so alive and present. I ran down because I had so much energy.
One of the biggest personal insights is self kindness. There has been a voice in my head that has been very judgmental. A bully towards myself. And what I want to create in the world. This experience gave me the chance to look at that and move to a deeper level. To a kinder relation to myself. Better then a life where I let inner judgement get to me.
